Home climbing wall: mount safely, use wisely, enjoy for years to come
A wall bar is the most compact mini-gym for your home: it strengthens your back and core, improves mobility and coordination – for adults and children from 3 years old (always under supervision). To ensure your workout goes smoothly, please note the following practical tips.
For whom? For what purpose?
-
Target group: Family, home fitness; not for outdoor use.
-
Age & Supervision: from 3 years old , only with adult accompaniment.
-
Maximum user weight: 100 kg (including clothing/shoes).
-
Legal framework: Sports equipment, not a toy according to Directive 2009/48/EC .
-
Safety reference: developed in accordance with EN 913:2018 + A1:2021 (stability, strength, design).
Technical specifications (brief overview)
Materials: Wood (beech or pine), MDF, birch plywood, metal connectors, lacquer finish, polypropylene rope, plastic.
All materials used are free of toxic substances (according to certificates).
Dimensions:
-
Height: 230 cm
-
Width: approx. 59 cm (option approx. 80 cm )
-
Depth: approx. 55-60 cm (option approx. 65 cm )
Design: smooth edges, splinter-free – for a pleasant grip.
Site selection & general conditions
-
Indoor areas only: no damp basements, no unheated damp rooms.
-
Wall: solid masonry/concrete or equivalent load-bearing capacity; no plasterboard/timber frame walls.
-
Drill hole for plastic dowel: Ø 12.00 mm .
-
Pressure: Back of the wall bars fully against the wall.
-
Upper support: Position metal brackets as high as possible (according to instructions).
-
Clearance: ≥ 1 m to the sides & front; ≥ 30 cm above (more recommended).
-
Floor: level/stable; protective mats ≥ 60 mm are recommended in the working area.
-
Room climate: 18–24 °C , 40–60% relative humidity; glare-free, good lighting.
Assembly & fixing – this is how to make it rock solid
-
Check contents: Are all parts complete and undamaged?
-
Pre-positioning: align using a spirit level, tighten slightly at first.
-
Final screw connection: after final alignment, tighten all connections.
-
Stability check: no wobbling, clean contact surface, angles correctly mounted.
-
Close technical openings with the supplied caps (finger pinch protection).
Instructions for use – clear, simple, safe
-
One person at a time. Multiple users increase load and risk.
-
No acrobatics/swinging. Rings/ropes are training modules – not swing equipment.
-
Quick check before starting: screws, suspensions, wood/metal condition.
-
Train clean and dry: Keep hands/handles dry for better grip.
-
No additional weights such as weight vests – risk of overload.
Hanging accessories (rings, rope, rope ladder)
Allowed: Pull-ups, holding exercises, controlled hanging, balance.
Maximum working load: up to 100 kg .
Prohibited: Attaching objects, swinging/bouncing, use by multiple people at the same time.
Care & Value Preservation
-
Regular visual inspection: at least every 10 days if used frequently.
-
Cleaning: soft, slightly damp cloth; no solvents/abrasives.
-
Refresh the finish when heavily used areas become dull/rough.
-
Noises? Creaking/squeaking = stop immediately, check/tighten connections.
Warranty, Lifespan & Service
-
Warranty: 24 months from the date of purchase against material/manufacturing defects.
-
Lifespan: up to 5 years with proper use and care.
-
No warranty claim: Misuse, modifications, outdoor/humid operation, overloading.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions (including “rotating rungs”)
From what age can my child train?
From 3 years old , but always under supervision.
Why not a high-pile carpet under the wall bars?
It worsens stability (soft ground → tipping moments).
What to do if a rung twists?
This usually results from too much play in the connection. Two proven solutions:
-
Variant A – Wood glue (finely split):
-
Loosen/remove the confirmat screws on both sides.
-
Apply wood glue precisely into the confirmation holes at the contact surfaces (between the end of the rung and the inner wall of the side rails).
-
Align the rung, reinsert the confirmand and tighten evenly .
-
Allow to harden according to the manufacturer's instructions – only then apply load.
-
-
Variant B – Adjustment for fit (toothpick/matchstick):
-
Turn out the confirmands.
-
Insert a thin wooden stick into the enlarged hole as a filler strip .
-
Twist the confirmand back in; if necessary, add a second rod until the rung sits without play.
-
How often should I check the connections?
For intensive use , every 10 days ; otherwise at least quarterly and additionally after moving, renovation or significant peak load.
Are multiple people allowed to train at the same time?
No. The wall bars are designed for one person – using them simultaneously creates unfavorable lateral forces.
Which mats are useful?
Sports or fall protection mats ≥ 60 mm thick in the activity area noticeably reduce the consequences of falls.
Are there temperature or humidity limits?
Ideal temperatures are 18–24 °C and 40–60% relative humidity. Avoid persistent deviations (e.g., damp basements) – wood expands and contracts and can warp.
Why not attach it to drywall/timber frame walls?
Insufficient load-bearing capacity. Mount only on solid walls – safety and durability depend on it.
