Train safely at home: How to use your home gym cleverly and responsibly

A compact home exercise complex brings movement into everyday life – for adults and children aged 3 and up (always under supervision). The robust combination of wood, plywood, MDF, and metal is durable and fits even in smaller apartments. To ensure that training is fun and safe, follow these practical tips.

Who is the system intended for?

  • Use: Family home gym for joint-friendly strength and mobility exercises.

  • Age & Supervision: from 3 years old , only with adult accompaniment.

  • Maximum user weight: 100 kg (including clothing/shoes).

  • Standard reference: Design and use are based on EN 913:2018 + A1:2021 .

  • Important: Not a toy according to Directive 2009/48/EC ; for intended use only.

The right place at home

  • Indoor use only: No outdoor areas, no damp rooms – wood expands and contracts when wet.

  • Substrate & wall: firm, level ground; solid masonry/concrete (or equivalent load-bearing capacity).

  • Open space: plan for approximately 1 m of movement space around the system.

  • Cushioning: Sports/protective mats with a thickness of approximately 60 mm or more in the effective area reduce the consequences of falls.

  • Light & room climate: even illumination; approx. 18–24 °C and 40–60 % relative humidity.

  • Ceiling clearance: at least 50 cm above the highest point.

Assembly & anchoring: Stability first

  • Use only original fasteners and align the system precisely.

  • Tighten completely only after all components are fully aligned.

  • Ground/wall anchoring is mandatory – it prevents tipping moments under tensile and shear forces.

  • Is anything loose? Check screw connections, realign if necessary and tighten.

  • Close technical openings with the supplied caps (finger pinch protection).

Pro tip: If a rung rotates, wood glue in the drilled hole or a thin piece of wood (e.g., a toothpick) as a spacer usually helps – then tighten the clamp securely.

Usage: clear limits, clear advantages

  • One person at a time. Parallel use increases the load and the risk.

  • No acrobatics, no swinging. Rings, bar and ropes are training equipment, not play equipment.

  • Quick check before each training session: Screw positions, condition of wood/metal, suspensions.

  • Slip resistance: dry hands/handles; no training oils on the rungs.

Hanging modules (rings, rope, rope ladder)

  • Allowed: Pull-ups, holding and support exercises, controlled hanging and balance drills.

  • Maximum load: up to 100 kg .

  • Prohibited: Attaching objects, swinging/bouncing, use by multiple people at the same time.

Care & Value Preservation

  • Inspect regularly: at least every 10 days with intensive use; otherwise at reasonable intervals.

  • Cleaning: soft, slightly damp cloth; no solvents/abrasives.

  • Refresh the surface protection when heavily used areas (handles/rungs) become dull.

  • Unusual noises (creaking/squeaking) = Stop, Check, Tighten .

Safety first: Strangulation warning

Never use ropes/cords unattended . No games, no wrapping around the neck or limbs. Check all fastenings and strands for damage before each use.

Warranty, Lifespan & Service

  • Warranty: 24 months from the date of purchase against material/manufacturing defects.

  • Lifespan: up to 5 years with proper use and care.

  • Excluded: Damage caused by misuse, modifications, outdoor/damp room use, overloading.

  • Contact (warranty/service): rinagym.pl.2024@gmail.com (with photos, fault description, order number).

Mini-FAQ

  • Are children allowed to train alone? No, always with supervision.
  • Will it fit in small rooms? Yes, it requires approximately 1 meter of free space and clearance from the ceiling.
  • Why not use carpets with a high pile? They reduce stability and increase the risk of tipping over.
  • EN 913 – what does it mean for me? It regulates, among other things, requirements for stability, strength and safe design.
