Safety and User Manual for the Home Gym Set

The home gym set is intended for indoor use only. The structure is made of natural wood, plywood, MDF panels, and metal fasteners, which ensure the product's stability and durability.

The gym set is designed for users aged 3 and older and is suitable for physical activity by both children and adults under supervision. The maximum load capacity is 100 kg. Simultaneous use by multiple users is not allowed. Children may use the gym set only under constant adult supervision.

This product is not suitable for outdoor use or for use in environments with high humidity. Exposure to moisture may cause deformation of the components, making proper assembly impossible and reducing the stability of the structure.

Installation Location

To ensure safe and long-term use of the home gym set, it is essential to carefully select and prepare a proper installation site. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in structural instability, increased risk of injury, and reduced lifespan of the product.

Flat and stable surface:

Install the gym set only on a hard, flat, and stable surface such as concrete, hardwood, or laminate flooring. Uneven, cracked, or sloped floors may cause the structure to wobble or tip over. Avoid placing the set on high-pile carpets, as they reduce overall stability.

Soft, impact-absorbing surface:

To reduce the risk of injury in case of a fall, it is recommended to use protective or shock-absorbing mats with a minimum thickness of 60 mm around the gym set. Suitable materials include rubber mats, playground tiles, or sports mats. The surface should be even, non-slip, and provide good traction for users.

Minimum clearance space:

Leave at least 1 meter (3.3 ft) of free space on all sides of the gym set. Ensure there are no nearby obstacles such as furniture, walls, heaters, or other objects that users could collide with. This free area should allow safe and unrestricted movement during use.

Ceiling height:

The ceiling should be high enough for users to use the gym set freely without touching it during exercises involving the upper elements. There should be at least 50 cm (20 in) of clearance between the top of the gym set and the ceiling.

Lighting:

The installation area should be well-lit so that users can clearly see all parts of the gym set and any potential obstacles on the floor. Avoid glare or direct sunlight, which can impair visibility.

Ventilation and humidity:

Avoid installing the gym set in damp or unheated spaces such as basements. Wooden components may absorb moisture, leading to deformation and a loss of structural integrity. The optimal humidity level is 40–60%, and the room temperature should be maintained between 18°C and 24°C (64–75°F).

Avoid hazardous locations:

Do not install the gym set near windows, doors, or staircases.

Anchoring and stability:

The structure must be securely anchored to the floor to provide additional stability and safety. Use only the original mounting hardware provided with the product. Make sure all fasteners are tightly secured and properly installed. After assembly, thoroughly check that the structure is stable and does not wobble under load. If needed, re-tighten the fasteners to eliminate any play and ensure the stability of the gym set.

Regular safety checks:

Before each use, inspect the structure to confirm its stability and overall technical condition. It is recommended to periodically re-tighten all fasteners and ensure that all components remain in good condition, in line with the safety principles outlined in EN 913.

Assembly and Installation

Before starting assembly, make sure that all components match the delivery list and are free from any damage. Check that all parts are complete and in accordance with the instructions. Use only the original mounting hardware provided with the product, as it meets safety standards and ensures the reliability of the structure.

During the initial assembly, fasteners should be only loosely tightened to allow for proper alignment of individual parts. Final tightening of screws and bolts should only be done after the entire gym set has been correctly assembled and positioned according to the instructions. This ensures maximum precision and secure fixation of all components.

Once assembly is complete, thoroughly check that all screws and bolts are properly tightened and stable.

If you notice any damage or defects to components during or after assembly (e.g. cracks or chipped surfaces), stop the assembly immediately and contact the manufacturer to obtain replacement parts. Do not allow use of the gym set until all defects have been repaired.

Before first use, carefully inspect the gym set to ensure there are no visible damages that could pose a safety risk. Make sure the structure is fully functional and safe for users.

The gym set must be securely fastened to the floor to prevent tipping during use. Anchoring it to the floor reduces the risk of tipping over during active use and follows the safety recommendations outlined in EN 913.

If the structure still wobbles without load after assembly, loosen the upper fasteners, carefully lay the gym set on a flat surface, stabilize its position, and then fully re-tighten all screws. Make sure all components are properly secured and the entire structure is stable. Check for any play or other issues that could affect its stability.

Sealing Technical Openings

To prevent the risk of fingers getting caught in technical openings, it is recommended to use the plastic caps provided in the set. This is a safety recommendation based on EN 913, aimed at preventing injuries. Caps should be installed in all potentially hazardous openings.

Issue with Rotating Rungs

If during assembly or use you notice that one or more rungs are rotating due to an inability to sufficiently tighten them with the provided metal fasteners, follow the steps below:

Method 1:

  • Unscrew the metal confirmats on both sides of the rung.
  • Apply wood glue into the confirmat holes (even ordinary office paper glue may be used if suitable for wood).
  • Do not apply glue directly into the screw hole — instead, the glue should create a bond between the inside surface of the side beam and the end of the beechwood rung.
  • Apply glue to the end of the rung and to the inside surface of the hole in the vertical beam. Use a narrow-tip glue bottle to ensure the glue reaches all areas.
  • Screw the confirmat back into place and allow it to dry for the time recommended by the glue manufacturer. Repeat this process on both sides of the rung.

Method 2:

  • It's possible that overtightening the confirmat damaged the hole in the rung, causing it to lose grip.
  • Unscrew the confirmats on both sides.
  • Insert a small wooden piece (e.g. matchstick or toothpick) into the hole inside the rung.
  • Reinsert the confirmats.
  • If the issue persists, add another wooden insert until the rung is secured and stops rotating.

Eco-Friendly and Safe Materials

All materials used in production comply with current environmental and safety standards. You can be assured that the product is both safe for users and environmentally friendly.

Do not allow children to play with ropes or cords unsupervised, as they can become wrapped around the neck, posing a risk of strangulation or other injuries. Regularly inspect the condition of all ropes and cords to ensure they are undamaged and properly secured. Make sure they are used only as intended.

Maintenance and Care

To ensure long-term use and safety of the gym set, regularly inspect its condition.

Check of Fasteners and Structural Integrity:

At least once every 10 days, inspect all fasteners and the condition of the wooden, metal, and plastic components. Carefully examine the structure for any looseness, cracks, broken parts, corrosion, or other damage.

If you detect any defects or damage, stop using the gym set immediately until the issue has been repaired. This will help prevent injuries and ensure the structure remains stable.

Pay special attention to elements under heavier loads (e.g. rings, bars) to confirm they are not damaged or deformed.

The structure’s stability and the condition of all load-bearing and connecting elements should be checked before each use, in line with the safety principles outlined in EN 913.

Cleaning the Gym Set:

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surfaces. Do not use aggressive chemicals, abrasive materials, detergents, or solvents, as they may damage the protective coating, leave scratches, and reduce the product’s lifespan.

Avoid water entering technical openings or connecting parts, as it may cause corrosion of metal components or deformation of wooden elements.

Refreshing the Surface Coating:

If necessary, refresh the protective finish to prevent the effects of moisture, dirt, and cracking. It is especially important to renew the coating if it no longer serves its protective function.

Regularly check the coating condition in high-wear areas (e.g. handrails, steps, rings). Timely renewal of the coating helps maintain the aesthetic and extend the durability of the gym set.

Safety Inspection:

Periodically check that all technical openings are sealed with the provided plastic caps to prevent accidental finger entrapment.

If the gym set makes unusual noises during use (e.g. creaking or grinding), it may indicate the need for further inspection or re-tightening of fasteners.

Routine maintenance and timely repairs — guided by the safety principles of EN 913 — improve both safety and product longevity.
