Care and maintenance

Checking the fixings: Regularly check all fixings, screws, and anchors for tightness and secure fit. This check should be carried out every 3 months and after any intensive use – this is crucial for the safety and longevity of the structure.

Cleaning and material protection: Use a soft cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as these can damage the protective coating. To maintain the wood, the protective layer can be refreshed regularly.

Replacing worn parts: If parts (e.g., rungs, fasteners) are damaged or worn, replace them with original spare parts.

Product inspection interval: Check at least every 10 days:

• whether the rungs are not rotating,

• whether the ropes show signs of wear,

• whether the ropes are correctly and securely attached to the holders.

Prohibition of use or storage outdoors: The climbing wall must not be stored or used outdoors or in damp rooms – this can lead to deformation of the elements, making proper assembly impossible and reducing the lifespan of the structure.

Assembly and inspection before first use

Checking the connections and fixings: Before first use, carefully check all screws and connections. Make sure they are tightened securely and the wall bars are firmly attached to the wall.

Checking stability and alignment: Ensure the structure is vertical and stable. Verify that the wall bars are correctly installed and do not wobble.

Possible defects and their rectification

How to fix loosened fasteners:

If you notice that any fasteners are loose, tighten the screws immediately or replace any damaged parts.

What to do if elements are damaged:

If wooden parts or joints are damaged, replace the affected components immediately with new original parts.

Rotating rungs during assembly or use:

It can happen that one or more rungs rotate because they could not be properly secured. In this case, proceed as follows:

Step 1 – Remove the confirmat screws:

Identify the rotating rung and unscrew the confirma on both sides.

Step 2 – Choose one of the two repair methods:

Use of wood glue:

• Apply wood glue to the confirmat drill holes (e.g., paper glue, if suitable for wood).

• Make sure that the glue does not run over the edge of the rung.

• Make sure that the inner surface of the vertical strip is also wetted.

• Screw the confirmate back in and allow the connection to dry according to the adhesive manufacturer's recommendations.

• Repeat the process on both sides of the rung.

Using a piece of wood for fixing:

• If the bore has been damaged by overtightening, remove both confirmors.

• Insert a small piece of wood (e.g., a matchstick or toothpick) into the drilled hole.

• Screw the confirmat back in.

• If the rung continues to rotate, add another piece of wood until the rung is firmly in place.

Crooked construction after assembly:

If the structure appears crooked after assembly, tension may have developed. To eliminate this:

• Loosen the fasteners.

• Carefully align the affected parts.

• Then tighten all screws completely.

• Ensure that the structure is stable and correctly assembled.

• Check for play or other defects that could affect stability.
